Pray and invite God into this time with Him.
Do you struggle to find joy in January?
What are some treasures in your life that bring you joy?
In your day-to-day life, what are some little things that bring you joy? Your morning coffee? A “good morning” hug from your kids? A 2 pm cookie and soda treat at work? Think about what those are & if you don’t have any, start looking for them throughout your day.
What are some of the reasons that you might not feel joy in your life right now? Are you too busy to see it? Are you more focused on reasons to be upset? Are you on your phone too much?
What are some sacrifices you could make to bring more joy into your life? Think big or small, not all sacrifices are huge, life-changing things. Small sacrifices add up over time.
Have you ever asked God to shake up your life?
Spiritual Practice
Reflection: Take a deep breath and reflect on the questions you just answered. Think about how you feel during January and just how you feel in general. Are you lacking joy in your life? Think about why you might be lacking joy and how you can take these steps to help get joy back into your life.
Prayer: Spend time in prayer with God. Ask Him to help you bring joy back into your life. Ask Him to open your eyes to the little things in life that can bring you joy. Ask Him to help you see things in a more positive way.
