Questions
Whether we want to admit it or not, we all have wounds. Something that we’ve done, or something that’s been done to us. Do you agree or disagree? What comes to mind when you hear this statement?
You can’t be spiritually mature if you have wounds in her life that you haven’t dealt with. God wants to heal our wounds so that we can become more like Jesus and experience the abundant life He has for us. Do you feel like you’ve experienced wounds? Do you have wounds you haven’t dealt with?
Wounds consist of: Abandonment, fear, powerlessness, hopelessness, confusion, rejection, and shame. Do you feel like you’ve experienced one or more of these wounds?
When we experience an event, it creates a wound. We then create beliefs about ourselves or judgments about others based on that wound. From those beliefs and judgments, we create inner vows. What’s an inner vow you’ve created based on a wound?
Read Isaiah 53:4-5. What does this passage describe about Jesus?
The difference between our wounds and Jesus’ wounds is that Jesus did not create beliefs, judgments, or inner vows from His wounds. What would it look like to trust God with your wounds today, knowing that He experienced all the same things?

Jesus, (blank) happened to me. I’m bringing it to you.
