Growing Up Week 3

Questions

• Pray and invite God into this time with Him.

• When and how did you start exploring and growing in your faith? Was it due to an invitation from someone? Who first invited you to church?

• One thing that Adam discussed was that God is always moving. Has there been a time when God was moving behind the scenes and you did not realize it until it was all set and done? If that is the case, then think about all the people around you, and how He is doing the same thing, constantly moving and working in people’s lives whether they know it or not.

• Inviting people to church at times can be intimidating. Is there a sense of peace that comes over you now knowing that God is still working in people’s lives that don’t even see Him?

• Sometimes all it takes is a simple question. “Will you go to church with me?”. Who are some people you could invite to church? That one question could change their life.

Spiritual Practice

Reflection: 

Take a second to just write down some stuff. Who were some people in your life that invited you to church, or a Christian event? How did they ask? What was the big selling point for you at the time? Who could you invite to church?

Prayer: 

Take a moment to just pray. Prayer is one of the most powerful tools that God uses to constantly be moving in our lives. Pray for Him to simply open your eyes. To be able to see the people around you who are looking for God. Looking for something to believe in. Pray for the same eyes Jesus had on us on this Earth. To be able to see people. Pray for whoever you are going to invite, and that they are open to your invitation. Pray that He gives you the right words to say.
