Video Production Manager

FULL-TIMe/40+ HOURS PER WEEK

Our Video Team is growing! Embrace is hiring a full-time Video Production Manager who will lead the day-to-day work of our growing video team as well as set the tone and vision for video projects as the lead storyteller.  


The Video Production Manager will report to the Director of Creative & Communications and will be responsible for creating stories and other video content that will show primarily during the weekend services, events and shared through Embrace’s social media channels.

Responsibilities

  • Help cast a creative vision for all Embrace video projects and ensure a high level of technical and creative excellence. Help set tone and style standards for all digital projects.
  • Create video content for the Sunday morning service experience at Embrace Church, including My Story and Run Project videos, series bumpers, and more. 
  • Bring video concepts from brainstorming phase to final completion. 
  • Develop and pour into Embrace’s video team, including full-time videographer/editors and volunteers. 
  • Monitor and respond to technical issues during Sunday morning online services, including listening for optimal online mix, providing real-time feedback on camera shots, etc. 
  • Collaborate with worship and production leaders on major creative projects, including video shoots, Sunday service elements, and special projects for major Sundays and events.
  • Manage the weekly workflow of the video team, including setting deadlines, collecting feedback on draft videos.  
  • Work in collaboration with the Creative Team and campus/ministry partners throughout the post-production process. 
  • Organize and execute on-location video shoots.
  • Oversee the audio quality in all videos produced.
  • Serve as back-up technician on various Embrace projects, including podcasts or Sunday morning camera needs or other projects as assigned. 

Other Duties

  • Manage multiple deadline-sensitive projects, organize tasks, and prioritize workload.
  • Create processes for keeping all video and audio equipment in good working order, replacing pieces as necessary. 
  • Proactively communicate with the Creative & Communications Director and other team members.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and organization of Embrace’s digital storage of work and projects
  • During non-business hours, the Video Production Manager should be available for rare emergency work
  • Other duties as assigned


Desired Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or Final Cut Pro (Premiere CC, After Effects CC)
  • Previous experience in DSLR video workflow.
  • Experience leading and developing staff and volunteer teams. 
  • Experience with shooting and editing video on a deadline basis.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work as a team player and discuss needs, challenges and ideas.
  • Ability to think ahead, anticipate needs and offer creative solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to extract compelling elements from raw video footage.
