Presents, shopping, Christmas trees, cookies, lights, apple cider, kids programs, Santa, Jingle bells, nativity scenes…and somewhere in the middle of it all, Jesus.
So often around Christmas time, we get so caught up in the chaos of the season that we forget to reflect on the very reason we celebrate. A baby named Jesus was born in a manger, to a young virgin mother, with an audience of barn animals. But this baby was different. He was God’s own son, sent to take on the sins of the world. A savior. We don’t just celebrate Christmas because Jesus came; we celebrate because He came, died on a cross for our sins, and rose again so that we could have a relationship with him.
“He Is Here” was written to remind us to stay above the noise this Christmas. To remember that Jesus came to mend the broken, and to bring light into the darkness.
